Affiliate of Cultural Shapeshifters, Danay possesses a specialized understanding of the complexities and interactions of human thoughts, emotions and behaviours and as such, the difficulties faced by individuals in various transitional stages of their lives, particularly culturally.
Having been raised in South Africa, and having lived and worked in Cyprus and Australia, Danay has both personal and practical experience of multi-cultural societies and the complex processes involved in adjusting to those. Together with her cultural diversity, this shapes and guides her understanding of differing cultural values and beliefs and their impact on individuals, families, communities and societies as a whole. She is passionate about assisting others to better understand their perception, emotions and behaviours within the framework of their contextual circumstances, thereby supporting them to adopt more helpful and constructive thoughts and attitudes, behaviours, responses and interaction styles.
Her non-judgmental, empathetic, and systemic approach encourages others to strive towards pursuing and achieving overall and long-term wellbeing.
Habitat
Currently residing in Perth, Western Australia, but extensive travel to Greece and Africa make her a true globetrotter.
